We read this fantastic book today. It's called Knuffle Bunny Too, or is it pronounced Nuffle Bunny. Well, the debate is on, ask your child how they say it, k-Nuffle, or Nuffle?
We talked about the illustrations. I asked the children what did they notice about these pictures? "They are photographs. With a camera. But there is no colours!" "The people are drawed with crayons!"
Soooooo, later that day, we took beautiful coloured pictures on the camera, under the beautiful coloured fall trees.
Look what happened when we printed them. "There's no colours on me."
"Can I colour everything? Even the tree?"
"I made myself a clown."
"I colour my shirt red, like Luigi's. Can you save this for me, so I can do more colours tomorrow?"
Some Curriculum Connections:
- respond to a variety of materials read aloud to them
- use illustrations to support comprehension of texts that are read by and with the FDK team
- demonstrate an interest in writing and choose to write in a variety of contexts
