| In partners, one child points to the letters and asks "what sound?" The other child responds with the sound. |

| They repeat the top portion, and then jump over the line to the next section. "What word?" These are the high frequency words we focus on during the next 2 years in the FDK program. The next section focuses on how to sound out. Sound it, sing it, read it. |
